Dr. Uttam Tripura is a distinguished horticulturist with a Ph.D. in Horticulture from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore. His expertise encompasses Spices, Plantation, Medicinal and Aromatic Plants. He completed his Master’s degree in Horticulture at the University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot, and his Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture at the College of Horticulture & Forestry, Central Agricultural University, Imphal. He has qualified the ICAR-NET in Spices, Plantation, Medicinal and Aromatic Plants and has also awarded as UGC-Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship and ICAR-Junior Research Fellow (JRF).\\r\\nWith a robust academic foundation and extensive practical experience, Dr. Tripura has made significant contributions to the field of horticulture through research, teaching, and applied horticultural practices. Dr. Tripura’s research focuses on enhancing crop production, crop improvement, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.\\r\\nHe has authored and co-authored a total of 17 research papers, & articles, and 2 book chapters in peer-reviewed journals and International journals publications. His contributions to the field are well-recognized.\\r\\nCurrently, he is working as Assistant Professor in Horticulture, School of Agriculture, Techno India University, Tripura. He has acquired 3 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in Horticulture, Dept. of Horticulture, School of Agriculture, Lovely Professional University, Punjab. He also worked as Research Associate for 1 years and 6 months in ICAR Research Centre for NEH region, Tripura, under the project of Horticulture Mission for North East & Himalayan States (HMNEH). \\r\\nHe has attended different training programme viz., Modern scientific method of Rubber cultivation and processing, Improved techniques of fruit nursery raising and management and training on different aspect of horticulture. He has participated in many national and international seminar/conferences, and workshops. He is also actively involved as a reviewer of many peer-reviewed journals.\\r\\n\\r\\n
